Terms and Conditions for Servicing, Repairs and Restoration

The following terms and conditions cover our services, including purchasing servicing, repairs and restoration of vintage watches. By engaging with us, we assume you agree to these terms.

1. Quality Guarantee: Vintage Gold Watches guarantees the quality of workmanship on all our sales, and services provided. However please understand, due to the nature of vintage mechanical watches, we cannot guarantee modern accuracy in timekeeping. We will inform customers of the expected performance of their watch if requested. This can be before, during, or after a sale or service. Please see our FAQs for some more information and context.

2. Parts Replacement and Disposal: During servicing or restoration, it may be necessary to replace or dispose of worn or defective parts. Unless requested otherwise by the customer at the time of service booking, replaced parts will be disposed of and will not be returned.

3. Service Recommendations: Vintage Gold Watches advises that mechanical watches undergo servicing every four years, plus or minus one year depending on the age of the watch . This ensures the longevity and proper functioning of your watch.

4. We do not service quartz or battery-operated watches.

5. We do not offer water resistance guarantees. Our strong advice is; Vintage watches should be kept clean and dry at all times.

6. Our guarantees: In the event a watch should attention, repair, or adjustment, within twelve months after the sale or repair, Vintage Gold Watches will undertake the repair at no additional cost to the customer.  We also provide an Authenticity Guarantee covering every watch we sell. 7. Repair Timeframes: Vintage Gold Watches aims to complete repairs and restorations in a timely manner. However, due to the unique nature of vintage watches and potential delays in sourcing parts, we cannot guarantee specific completion dates. Customers will be informed of estimated timeframes upon service booking.

8. Postal Repairs: For watches sent to us via post for repair or service, Vintage Gold Watches uses secure, insured postal services to ensure the safety of your timepiece. Customers will be provided with tracking information and details regarding insurance coverage.

9. Returns Policy for Purchases: Customers may return purchased watches within 14 days of receipt for a full refund or exchange, provided the watch is in its original condition, and with all original packaging. This policy excludes watches that show signs of wear or use.

10. Complaints and Customer Service: Vintage Gold Watches is committed to customer satisfaction. Should you have any complaints or concerns regarding our services or your purchase, please contact us directly. We will endeavor to resolve any issues in accordance with these terms and conditions and to the satisfaction of our customers.
