This just stunningly elegant 9k gold Rolex Precision gentleman’s dress watch in near mint condition and the rare and original Sunburst dial is amazingly bright and and quite breathtaking. The watch has been thoroughly checked and serviced by ourselves.
The Dial
The outstanding feature of this watch is the rare sunburst dial which is very bright and shimmers wonderfully as it catches the light. The colour varies from champagne yellow to sunset gold while the dark hands contrast clearly, making the watch very easy to read. The dial is in fabulous condition.
The Case
The solid 9K yellow gold case is in superb condition with no scratches or dings visible to the naked eye. This particular watch has the very desirable and attractive Rolex Crown on the back making this watch even rarer and more desirable. The case was made for Rolex by Dennison in the UK. Dennison were one of Europe’s finest watch case makers making cases for many of the leading Swiss watch brands. The case measures 33mm in diameter not including the crown. This makes it one of the larger size watches made by Rolex at the time.
The Movement
The very clean hand wound 17 jewel, 1215 calibre movement is in almost as new condition and is running perfectly. It is marked ‘Montres Rolex SA Geneva Swiss’, ‘Seventeen 17 Jewels’ and the movement number is ’0735′.
The Strap & Buckle
The watch benefits from a new high quality dark brown crocodile skin strap and matching gold plated after market Rolex buckle.
Box and Papers
The original vintage Rolex box shown above is included with the watch if the ‘Buy It Now’ price is paid. There are no original papers with this watch. However all the numbers on this watch match up dating the watch to 1962. A written receipt, warranty and a separate valuation will be provided at the time of sale.
In Summary
A truly beautiful vintage dress watch in superb condition from the most famous name in Swiss watch making. In this condition, the watch is offered at below retail value and will therefore make an excellent long term investment or heirloom piece.
