Here is a beautiful example of a Slimline 18ct Omega Seamaster gentleman’s dress watch from 1964. The rarer Cal.711 ‘Slimline’ model of the iconic Seamaster, measures 35mm in diameter without the Omega crown and just under 7mm in depth, making this the thinest automatic watch available in 1964 and ‘state of the art’ watchmaking at this time!

The Dial

A beautifully elegant design and a very modern look considering the date of the watch. The silver white guilloche – ribbon dial catches the changing light beautifully. It is difficult to capture to this effect in our photographs, although we have done our best! The raised applied thin black batons and with original matching hands are all in superb condition original condition. The dial is signed ‘Omega Seamaster’, ‘Automatic’, and below ‘6’ – ‘Swiss Made’ at the very bottom of the dial. Please take a close look at the photos of this fabulous dial – this is the original dial and is in top original condition!

The Case

The solid 18ct yellow gold Swiss made slimline case is in superb original condition following a gentle hand polish. And even though less than 7mm deep the case still has the screw-down case-back carrying the Seamaster emblem in common with the majority of other Omega Seamasters. The case and case-back show very few signs of wear indicating this watch has been very carefully and very lightly used.

The case measures 35mm in diameter not including the Omega signed crown – Inside the case back bears the Omega Watch Co. branding and FAB SUISSE and two Swiss 18ct .750 hallmarks, along with the case reference number 165008.

The case has no scratches, marks or dings visible to the naked eye. Although originally specified as Water Proof. – this has not been tested and is not guaranteed, as vintage watches should be kept clean and dry at all times!

The Movement

The original very high grade Cal.711 24 Jewels Slimline Automatic Movement is in sparkling pristine condition and following a thorough service it is running perfectly. It is signed Omega Watch Co. Swiss, 24 Jewels, 711, with serial number 21001734 dating manufacture to 1964. The movement winds, runs & sets smoothly and is working perfectly and keeping excellent time.

These very high grade 711 movements are highly regarded for their accuracy and reliability. And following a full overhaul and service by our watchmaker and it has been calibrated to run arrow straight within ±10 seconds / day! This watch is offered with a 12 months warranty*.

The Strap and Buckle

The watch is complimented with an Omega brown ‘croc’ leather strap with gold plated Omega buckle. However if you would prefer a black Omega strap please let us know and we will be happy to fit one for you.

Box and Papers

This watch comes with an original vintage Omega presentation box as shown. And although there are no original papers, the watch will then be supplied with a detailed written receipt and 12 months warranty. A separate written valuation for insurance purposes will also be included.
