A stunning large 18ct rose gold gent’s vintage Omega watch from 1958. The watch is in superb fully restored condition, with an elegant classic solid rose gold case, blue dial with rose gold hands and subsidiary seconds dial all in excellent condition. The fully serviced Cal 267 movement is running strongly and keeping accurate time. The lens is new as is the matching high quality leather strap, so this beautiful rose gold vintage watch is ready to wear.

Dial: The classic Omega dial is in nicely restored condition with a satin blue finish, raised rose gold numbers, Omega symbol and star. The beautiful rose gold gold dauphine hour and minute hands are in perfect condition. The lens is also perfect and so with the unmarked rounded bezel, the overall impression is stunning.

Case: The substantial solid rose gold case has beautiful swept back lugs and is in superb condition. It measures 36mm diameter not including the Omega crown and 41 mm in overall length. The press fit case back is still an excellent fit and pops back with a very satisfying and solid click. The inside of the case back is properly hallmarked and signed “Omega Watch Co” FAB. SUISSE, SWISS MADE, 18K 0.750 378157, 2919.

Movement: High quality classic 17 jeweled manual cal. 267 movement, freshly serviced, running strongly and keeping good time. The watch winds and sets perfectly and following recent calibration is now keeping perfect time. It is signed with the following markings OMEGA SWISS 17 JEWELS 267 1682 1563.

Strap: The strap is a new, very high quality, dark blue padded croc leather which compliments the blue dial and rose gold case very nicely. The buckle aftermarket gold plate.

In Summary: This is a fabulous watch, manufactured by one of the most famous Swiss watchmakers in the world. It is in top working condition and is highly collectable as well as ready to wear. This is a not to be missed opportunity to buy this wonderful piece.

The ‘Buy It Now’ price represents excellent value considering a new equivalent Omega 18K rose gold dress watch would retail at around £11,000 today. Further, a vintage late 1950s 18K gold Omega in this condition, would be on sale for £5,000 to £7,000 in a Bond Street store or in the Burlington Arcade in Central London.

From an investment point of view, there is no question which is the better buy.

This 1958 Omega would also make a wonderful special anniversary or birthday gift and an excellent investment or heirloom piece.

This is a fabulous watch, manufactured by one of the most popular watchmakers in the world. It is stunningly attractive and highly collectable as well as suitable for wear. Do not miss the opportunity to buy this beautiful piece.

Please note it is difficult to capture the full beauty of a vintage watch even in a good series of photographs. Needless to say, it is a much more rewarding experience to hold the watch and of course, to wear it with pride.
