A very rare and particularly special 18ct Pink Gold Rolex Precision dress watch from 1954, with an absolutely beautiful dial. Note, while we list and sell perhaps more Rolex Precisions than any other watch, we perhaps see just one Precision per year in 18ct pink gold. Needless to say, this is a very rare watch.
The exquisite ivory cream dial contrasts beautifully with the applied pink gilt hour indices, pink gilt hands and pink gold case. The applied gilt ‘dagger’ style hour indices are matched with original restored ‘Dauphine’ style hands. The applied Rolex Coronet completes this dial which has wonderful symmetry. This beautiful dial, along with the rare 18ct Pink Gold watch case, elevates this to a very special watch indeed.
This dial has been previously restored to the highest standards and all we have found necessary is to give the dial a very gentle clean to remove any dust and light marks.
The 18ct pink gold Rolex Swiss made case measures 34mm in diameter, excluding the Rolex signed crown.
As this case was made in Switzerland it is of exceptional quality. It is of a three-piece design, with the beautiful early press fit case-back. The case has been professionally cleaned, inspected and very lightly hand-polished and is in excellent condition, having been very well cared for with no significant scratches or wear visible to the naked eye. The press fit case-back clicks into place very satisfyingly, is of full thickness, and has never been inscribed.
The inside of the case-back shows the correct early 50’s Rolex Coronet and scroll signature, along with Geneva Swiss 18ct gold hallmarks, and the Rolex model number for this watch, 9006.
Please note, as ever our standard advice applies: Vintage watches should be kept clean and dry at all times.
The high grade Calibre 1210, 17 Jewel hand-wound movement is incredibly clean and in sparkling condition. These Rolex Cal.1210 movements are highly regarded for their accuracy and reliability and this movement has just been fully overhauled and serviced by our expert vintage Rolex specialist watchmaker. The movement is running, winding and setting perfectly and has been calibrated to run consistently at +6 seconds per day which is excellent for any watch of this age. We have checked the test results on our electronic watch time grapher. This movement also has an excellent power reserve of 58 hours, when fully wound.
The movement is signed Rolex, Swiss Made and 17 Rubis (Jewels) and it is marked with the Calibre number 1210 and the reference number N33585. This particular movement is in superb condition and with regular servicing, say every 3 – 4 years, we would fully expect this watch to run quite happily for another 60+ years! We are therefore very confident in offering this watch with a 12 month written warranty*.
Please note – Our 12 months Warranty is only applicable if the list price is paid.

A word on our prices… We always try our hardest to acquire the very highest quality watches we can find, before then restoring these to the highest possible standards. We then offer these at the fairest prices we can, taking into account our pre and post sales care and service. This approach means we will never be the cheapest, but nor will we be the most expensive. Indeed there are some well known stores in West London which are highly successful charging between two to three times the price you see here. We therefore consider our prices to be fair, given the quality of watches we have to offer.
