Dial

An original unrestored solid pink gold guilloche dial with applied onyx inlaid batons and hands in immaculate condition with date function. Usually we will restore the dials of the watches we offer for sale, however in this instance, as the dial is made of gold and is in such wonderful original condition, restoration was felt unnecessary. The guilloche dial has been very finely machine engraved to provide very fine vertical engraved lines which on the gold dial catches the light beautifully.

Movement

Top grade Cal.562, 24 Jewels movement, Serial number 24,334,xxx dating this watch to 1966.  This is the same movement as used in the top of the range Omega Constellation of the same period and is very highly regarded, accurate and reliable. Here the movement is in absolutely sparkling condition and in fact is as good as the day it was made! We have tested the movement following a full service and it is running within +10 seconds / day which is outstanding for a watch of this age therefore we will be pleased to provide 12 months warranty with this watch*.

Watch Case

A very rare 18ct pink gold two piece case with the Seamaster motif on the case back. The Seamaster motif is unworn indicating this watch has been very seldomly used.  The watch case is in immaculate condition with no marks, scratches or dings visible to the naked eye. The case is a good size for the period at 34mm, not including the original Omega crown.  This watch case was waterproof when new and all the rubber seals have been replaced. However this has not been tested and we recommend all vintage watches are kept clean and dry at all times.

Strap & Buckle

A modern, high quality, green crocodile leather watch strap has been fitted with a gold plated omega buckle. If a different colour or style of strap is preferred we will do our best to provide your choice at no extra charge.

Box and Papers

Although there are no original papers with this watch, the numbers and markings are all correct, dating this watch to 1966. A fully detailed written receipt, with 12 months warranty*, along with our Vintage Gold Watches ‘Lifetime Authenticity Guarantee’ will be provided on the date of sale. A separate insurance valuation for the replacement value, will be provided and a vintage Omega presentation box will be included in the sale of this watch.

In Conclusion

‘Rare’ is an overused term in relation to vintage watches, but this is indeed a very rare watch! We have seldom spotted a pink gold Seamaster and never with a solid gold dial with onyx inlays which are both also very rare! Add to this the condition of this watch and we have here something very special.
